Stock Hill GP Consultation Patient Survey – July 2020
Being faced with the Covid-19 pandemic, the Stock Hill Medical Centre team decided to create a GP appointment system that allowed patients contact with GPs with the minimum of risk to both whilst still being able to provide a first class level of service. To this end a mix of 4 integrated technological GP consultations have been introduced.
- Face to Face consultation (F2F)
- Phone consultation (PC)
- Video consultation (VC) and
- eConsult (On-line consultation system) (EC). Information on this system can be found on SHMC Website.
Once the current crisis has passed the Surgery would like to consider offering this mix of GP consultations, each 10 minutes long, as they feel it has given a variety of ways to manage patient consultations which they believe have been of benefit to both patients and Surgery.
It is proposed that once lock down is lifted a patient can choose for themselves what type of consultation they think they need. If they are uncertain they can ask the receptionist for advice. Patients may find it convenient as it means they do not need to take time out of their day or plans to visit the surgery, especially if they do not need a physical examination.
However, before any decisions are made the Surgery would like to canvass opinion from as many patients as possible, and they have asked the PPG to consult with patients through a survey. The survey is anonymous and any information entered will be treated in confidence.
The survey is now closed but you can see this questionnaire by clicking on the link below and you can see a brief summary of the results.
